Firstly, thanks for bothering th spend the time having a read of these, I’ve had lots of emails and messages over the last few years and these are a selection of the more frequent ones.
If you do want to ask me anything or just to say hi then get in touch on the contact page.
Of course I will, but in return I expect you to tell the world what a thoroughly nice bloke I am! And if it’s nice enough picture, why not post it on the fan gallery here on the website.
This doesn't come up that often, but come on don't ask! For the record my favourite joke is "What do you call a Dinosaur that's just been bummed?' 'Mega-sore-arse"
Write lots, learn lots, watch as much stand up as you can, preferably live. If you're at school or college, read up on as much stuff as you can, you can find comedy anywhere but the more you know the more stuff you have to take it from. Listen to your parents too, and anyone who's around you, stuff they say can be turned into comedy gold. Read the papers everyday, get interested in Politics, get a hobby, write write write.
I love so many comedians but my inspiration I suppose is from the comedians my Dad used to let me listen to, Les Dawson Tommy Cooper, and then I suppose Billy Connolly was my biggest influence, I saw him when I was about 8 and that’s all I’ve ever wanted to be since. Jasper Carrot, Dave Allen and then modern comics like Eddie Izzard Peter Kay and Jimmy Carr.
Oh yeah, got a season ticket with my Dad and brothers, we’re in the East stand so if you’re about say hello and we can have a moan about the match together while eating a Chicken Balti Pie.
Hi Johnny, that’s a hard one, comic wise it has to be when Frankie Boyle is on or Michael McIntrye, and of course we have the odd legend like Chris Hoy. I enjoyed working with Sarah Silverman and Joan Rivers, oh and Rhod Gilbert and Sarah Millican, none comics, one of my favourites recently was Steve Jones, love his accent, and also Raef from the Apprentice.
Well I do as much as I can, doing gigs and offering tickets for various charities, the Manchester Children’s Hospital, Migraine Action, Christies, Amnesty International and Victim Support as well as many others. But I recently got involved with savebabiesuk.org. I’m a patron there now so will my concentraiting my efforts on them for the time being,.
Well the gigs vary, on average, I do about 45 mins in the first half, then there’s a break, and the second half is another 45 mins, with usually a 25 mins Q & A session, and then I’ll pop out at the end an do some pics which take about 40 blooming minutes!
I’m not sure to be honest, it has been great fun but this one goes on till the 8th of March now where I’m gonna finish at the Lowry in Salford, and then It’ll probably be 18 months to 2 years before I’d do another big one.
